For residential treadmills, you are looking at the L-series. The L-series come in 2 sizes – L7 and L8. The difference between the two is that L8 is slightly bigger than L7, and can support an additional 100 pounds. The L7 has a 20 x 58 inche tread belt, while the L8 has a 22 x 63 tread belt. The L7 can support up to 400 pounds, and the L8 500 pounds. The L8 also has larger ball bearings since it’s larger in size.
Sometimes, you may come across L9 models. But L9 models are supposed to be full commercial treadmills and they are not meant for residential use.
When considering Landice treadmills, the first thing you look at is the control panel. This is because the models are largely differentiated by the control panels. Once you have decided on the control panel, the choices become much narrower. It’s easier for you to choose.
Executive trainer.
This is the best control panel you will find in the market. It’s the only control panel with animated display. Different animations is displayed during the run. For example, there are Canyon runs, mountain runs, ocean runs, etc.
This treadmill is ideal for a family of 5 members, as it allows storage of personal information for up to 5 people. There are 5 built-in programs. You can also define up to 5 user programs.
For more family fun and entertainment, there are 6 fitness tests in this treadmill – Balke, Firefighter, Army, Navy, USMC, USAF.
The executive trainers also come with standard wireless heart rate monitoring. That means you don’t have to hold on to the handles to measure your heart rate while you run. Simply attach the wireless strap to your chest.
The cardio trainer.
The cardio trainer is next in line. This is a step down from the executive trainer. It is NOT a full color control panel. Rather, it is a two color control panel that features a two-color, hi-definition, motivational display.
The screen can be used to display basic statistics, track stats, or heart rate statistics. It also has 5 built-in programs, and allows 5 user defined programs.
Instead of having 6 fitness tests, this treadmill only has 3 tests – Balke, Firefighter, Army.
Comes with standard wireless heart rate monitoring as well.
Pro Sports trainer.
The Pro Sports trainer is the same as the cardio trainer, but it doesn’t have the heart rate controls and display. There are not fitness tests. However, standard wireless heart rate monitoring is still available.
The Pro Trainer.
The Pro trainer is at the bottom of the ladder. It is an LED display that Displays Time, Distance, Speed, Elevation, Calories, and Pace.
It has 5 built-in programs, but only 2 user defined programs. The wireless heart rate monitoring is optional.
