Review

Ironman_220t_Programmable_TreadmillThis is a heavy duty machine that is built for stronger and heavier runners. The top speed and max. incline is on par with most other home treadmills. The running belt is spacious, so it’s good for tall (and fast) runners. It can support 325 pounds – that’s 75 pounds more than the average treadmill.

The shock assisted folding is a plus. The lowering and lifting of the running deck is almost effortless.

The warranty is rather impressive. It’s an indication that this is a reliable machine. Ironman has the confidence to offer 2 year warranty on parts, and 1 year labor. Most companies just offer 1 year on parts. Some even offer just 90 days for low budget models.

Wireless heart rate monitoring would have been a plus, as handle grips sensors always make the runner feel awkward.

But for the price of $1,049, the features offered are reasonable. If you are a heavy runner looking for a strong and reliable treadmill, the Ironman 220t Programmable Treadmill is a good choice.
