iFit Treadmill

iFit is not a brand for a treadmill. Rather, it is a brand for a fitness community. Within the community, you can find various exercise / workout programs that you use to help you lose weight and improve your overall fitness.

When you see a treadmill that is iFit enabled, it means that you can load workouts from the Internet or from CDs into the treadmill. The programs come with instructions for your treadmill, and the speed and incline adjusts automatically based on the program instructions. Each program comes with accompanying music to motivate you. The voice of a personal trainer will also guide you along during the program.

There are many different types of programs you can load into the treadmill. To start, go to the iFit website to download a program. Level 1 is the first program you can download and it’s available in a Zip file. Your treadmill should have an SD card reader. Save the ZIP file into the iFit folder on your SD card, and then insert the card into the treadmill. The workout will then be available for selection.

On the iFit website, you can choose from 6 different categories.

  1. Weight loss.
  2. Performance.
  3. International workouts.
  4. Wellness.
  5. Power Walking.
  6. Circuit Training.

Go to the category that best suits your needs and proceed with the download. Each workout cost between $19.99 to $29.99.

Alternatively, you may also wish to try one of iFit’s interactive CD workout. The CDs are available as a single workout, or as an 8 week interactive program. When you purchase the 8 week program, you also get to enjoy Personalized Premium Services for 8 weeks (worth $30).

Dietitians will create a custom eating plan just for you. The number of calories you are burning will be tracked, as well as what you are eating. Every week, you will receive an update via email on your progress.
