Cadence Treadmill Review

The Weslo Cadence C44 is a highly affordable home treadmill for beginners and smaller runners. Let’s take a look a the four most important factors to consider when buying a home treadmill.

1) Motor.

The motor is like the heart of the machine. If the motor blows, the entire machine stops working. This treadmill has an unexpected powerful motor. It is a 2.25 THP Impulse Drive System motor. This provides enough power to generate speeds of up to 10 mph for the machine. Unfortunately, the incline is a little primitive. You can only adjust to 3, 6 and 9%. Other home treadmills usually provide inclines from 0 to 10%.

2) Treadmill belt.

The treadmill belt has a small running surface of just 16 by 47 inches. Taller runners may have a problem with this machine. A bigger machine with a larger running surface of 2- by 55 inches would be more appropriate for runners with longer strides.

The belt undergoes the most wear and tear during use. If there is a need to replace the belt, you can easily do so by purchasing a new belt for under $100.

3) Warranty.

Unfortunately, Weslo only provides 1 year warranty for the motor. If your motor breaks down after 1 year, you are out of luck. Most models provide at least 2 years of warranty for the motor, and lifetime warranty for frame. But before you say “no” to the Cadence treadmill, take a look at the price.

4) Price.

The Cadence treadmill is priced at an incredibly low price point – less than $400. This is perhaps the cheapest and most affordable home treadmill in the market. Despite being smaller in size, this treadmill does have a powerful motor. If you a small runner, and you live in a small apartment temporarily, this is the perfect treadmill for you. There are no fanciful functions or high tech stuff. Just plain and simple treadmill running. If you are on a tight budget, this may just be the treadmill you are looking for.
